Harbhajan Singh declares MS Dhoni as CSK’s top retention choice, excluding Ruturaj Gaikwad and Shivam Dube

Harbhajan Singh, the former star spinner of the Indian cricket team known as the Turbanator, has recently made a bold prediction about MS Dhoni. According to Harbhajan, Dhoni's name will be at the top of the retention list for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

It is worth noting that a mega auction can be seen at the end of November for the upcoming season of IPL. But before this auction, all 10 teams have to submit the list of their retained players to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) before October 31, 2024. But in the meantime, Harbhajan’s statement has grabbed headlines.

Harbhajan Singh gave a big statement:

“I’m not certain if Dhoni will play or not, but if he’s available, he would certainly be the team’s first pick for retention, even if he is considered an uncapped player this season. Following him, the next pick would be Ravindra Jadeja, then Rachin Ravindra. As for the captain, Ruturaj Gaikwad, he would also be a definite retention. These four players will be sure to shoot retentions and Pathirana is a brilliant bowler, they will surely try to retain him. The uncapped player will be a surprise package,” said Harbhajan in an Instagram video by Star Sports.
