With over 5,000 players in NBA history, there is at least one player born on every day of the calendar year – including three leap day ballers. Check out our day-by-day breakdown of NBA players born on each day of the year.

Below are the most notable NBA players born on Sept 26.

Lucius Allen (Sept. 26, 1947):

Selected with the third overall pick in the 1969 NBA Draft by Seattle, Allen was traded to Milwaukee following his rookie season. In Milwaukee, Allen reunited with former UCLA teammate Lew Alcindor (later known as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar). After winning two NCAA championships as college teammates, they won the Bucks’ first NBA title in their first season as NBA teammates in 1971. After four full seasons in Milwaukee, Allen was traded to the Lakers early in his sixth NBA season. A year later, Abdul-Jabbar arrived in L.A., but the former UCLA standouts were unable to win a title together with the Lakers. Allen closed his career playing two years with the Kansas City Kings. During his 10-year career, Allen totaled 9,407 points (13.4 ppg), 2,205 rebounds (3.1 rpg) and 3,174 assists (4.5 apg) over 702 games.
