Herb Jones of the Pelicans sidelined indefinitely with a tear in his right shoulder

The New Orleans Pelicans announced on Friday that forward Herb Jones has suffered a posterior labrum tear in his right shoulder. Unfortunately, he will be out of action indefinitely as he recovers from this injury.

Jones has been a steady contributor for the Pelicans with averages of 10.3 points, 3.9 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.9 steals over 20 games this season. He earned a spot on the NBA All-Defensive First Team last season.

The Pelicans have struggled with injuries all season and are in last place in the Western Conference standings.
